In the recents years, Thailand’s movies and TV series have started to get people’s attention like the big hit “Bad Genius" in 2017, people started to notice that Thailand was not just making horror movies. Referring to South Korean culture, Thailand’s producers started to produce some shows with the similar style, hair and makeup especially in men’s makeup. The images of those artists had brought a huge effect to the people of their sense of beauty and raising the awareness of personal images, therefore the number of Thai shopped online for beauty products has raised every years.

Blog#2 Study of the South Korean governmental online petition platform

In this week’s blog, I would like to briefly share our group project’s topic and our group are studying about “Petition system of South Korea"

First of all, I would like to introduce you what is about and how it it work. This petition system is an online platform for the government to communicate with the general public. People can file petition on that website (https://www1.president.go.kr/petitions) and once the petition gained more than 200,000 people to back up in 30 days, the government must answer the petition with explaining government’s stand and their follow-up actions. The system was created by current South Korean president Moon Jae-In in 2018 because he aimed to build up an open-minded image to the public by listening and communicating with their people. Blog #1 Reviews of Japanese movie “Dencha Otoko”

We watched the japanese movie “Dencha Otoko" in this week’s class and we found out the details in the movie from their outlooks, the placement of the props to the actions of the characters showed the culture , social issues happening in Japan.

You may think “Otaku" are just a group of people who obsessed with Japanese manga ,the ACG (Animate, Comic, Game) culture etc. And most of these people are shy and only active online being “Keyboard Warriors". Japan has a judgemental society, the general public has labelled these group of people some bad names like “Otaku equals to gloomy ,unsocial and non-interactive" according to Galbraith, P.
